Black Dog Therapy was established in 2018 by Kate Choppen.


Kate is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, trauma-informed mental health and ADHD practitioner and

Occupational Therapist.


Over the last 22 years of working in mental health Kate has developed her own unique way of blending her skills and techniques to meet her clients exactly where they are.


Non-judgemental, approachable and empathetic, Kate will allow you to explore your experiences in a safe, supported way, before expertly guiding you to make deep and meaningful changes to how you think, feel and respond.

Luke is an experienced Hypnotist, NLP and Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioner.


Luke creates the space that allows you to let go of unconscious blockages

such as trauma, phobias fears and anxiety.


Luke believes that most issues come from rigidity of mind or rigidity of the body; by having a fixed learned response to stress. The body holds our traumas and experiences as mental, emotional and physical tension. With Luke's guidance, you can move past your wall of limiting beliefs into a new, flexible space of opportunities.
